Welcome to Varia Ventures! Varia is a new platform that was initially designed to support promising early-stage companies by facilitating access to helpful private sector resources, including to our growing network of preeminent companies, industry experts, and capital – while introducing these same network partners to these promising companies in search of those resources.
Along the way, recognizing that – like happy families – great companies, whether a pure start-up or a multi-generational family business, are also alike in many ways – we decided to share our thoughts from years of experience in the trenches. Our knowledge includes our work as lawyers, private investors, and consultants.
We’ve had the opportunity to share more our experience and insights in books and articles on these subjects that we’ve published over the years as well as in lectures at some of our country’s great colleges and universities. Insights that we’ve gleaned from our clients, our mentors, and our families and broader communities, but also insights we’ve learned from our never-ending study of business, philosophy, economics, science, religion, and other disciplines. We are now hoping that this site will prove a helpful new – and more widely available – resource to entrepreneurs, stakeholders in business, investors, and others.
